Dear Colleagues,
Now that summer is over it seems the busy time starts up again… the Pharmacy class of 2019 has started their training and flu vaccination clinics are right around the corner. It has been a privilege to be the SPA President this year.
One of the things that I have noticed is the incredibly high quality of the pharmacists and technicians who I have been able to meet though my involvement with the Association. We are preparing for our annual awards meeting which will be at the Davenport Grand Hotel Friday November 6, 2015. Now is the time to recognize those who are working around us for their accomplishments. Please consider placing a nomination for Pharmacy of the Year, Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Technician of the Year and Pharmacy Student/Resident of the Year. I would also like to recognize our outstanding board members, some of whom will be retiring from the board this year. Serving on the SPA Board has been very rewarding for me and I encourage anyone who is interested to contact me.
Our pharmacy students are always interested in serving our community and this requires volunteer preceptors. Please consider serving as a volunteer preceptor and let me know if you would like to help out in this capacity.
